Same building since 1945
Crank started in Costa Mesa in 1945, and the business has worked out of the same building on Commercial Way ever since. The Crank family ran it for decades. Today it’s run by Adam and Rocky, two South County guys who grew up in the trades and kept the Crank name because it had earned its reputation.
The crew is family, friends and people the owners have known for years, and more than 90% of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals, built one job, one conversation and one customer at a time.

Common questions
How do I know if my property needs waterproofing?
Water stains, cracks in concrete, peeling or cracked coatings, soft spots on a deck, rust at railing posts, mold or standing water are the common signs. An inspection finds the problem before it becomes a costly repair.
How often should a deck waterproofing system be maintained?
Have it looked at about once a year and recoated when the top coat wears. Regular maintenance is what makes a deck system last.
What roofing services do you provide?
Roof inspections, repairs and replacements, tile and flat roof repair, synthetic underlayment, silicone roof coatings and waterproof roofing systems, for homes and commercial buildings.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free and come in writing, with photos of what we found.
Do you do emergency roof repairs?
Yes. We do same-day emergency repairs. Call 949.374.2628 and we’ll help protect the house first, then find where the water is actually getting in.
