Shingle Roof Repair & Replacement in Orange County
Asphalt (composition) shingle roofs, repaired or replaced by a licensed roofing contractor. We tell you straight whether your roof has years left or needs replacing. Family-run in Costa Mesa since 1945.
Sun first, then the storms
In Orange County it’s the sun more than the rain that wears out a shingle roof. Years of UV bake the shingles until they curl, crack and shed their granules. Then the winter storms find the weak spots: lifted shingles, worn pipe boots, and flashing that has pulled away.
Most leaks on a shingle roof start at one of those, not in the middle of the roof. That’s good news, because it means a lot of shingle roofs can be repaired for years before they need replacing. When yours can’t, we’ll tell you, and show you why with photos.
We don’t build on bad bones. If the wood under the shingles is soft or rotted, it gets fixed first.

What we do on shingle roofs
Leaks and storm damage
Pipe boots, flashing, vents, and lifted or blown-off shingles, found and fixed at the source, so the next storm doesn’t finish the job.
Shingle roof replacement
Tear-off, deck inspection, new underlayment and new shingles. On most average-size homes, three to five days.
Dry rot and decking repair
If the wood under the shingles is soft or rotted, we replace it before anything goes on top.

Shingle roof questions
How long does a shingle roof last in Orange County?
It depends on the shingle, the install and how much sun the roof gets. Many asphalt shingle roofs last somewhere between 15 and 30 years. A roof that faces full sun all day tends to wear out sooner.
Can you replace just part of a shingle roof?
Sometimes. Storm damage or one bad section can often be repaired. If the rest of the roof is near the end of its life, patching usually isn’t worth it, and we’ll tell you.
How long does a shingle roof replacement take?
Three to five days on most average-size homes. Weather and a complicated roof can stretch that.
Will you check the wood under the shingles?
Yes. On a replacement we inspect the roof deck once the old shingles are off, and replace any damaged wood before the new roof goes on.
Can I send you photos first?
Yes. Add them to the estimate form and we’ll tell you what we see before we come out.
